Reston has plenty of good food, but genuinely good halal food is a narrower list, and after dark it gets shorter fast. If you have ever finished a night around Reston Town Center and wanted something hot, fresh, and 100% halal, you already know the feeling. The good news is that Burger Bhai sits about ten minutes away in Herndon, and it was built for exactly this craving.
From Reston Town Center, it is a straight shot up toward Herndon on Reston Parkway, then over to Elden Street. Ten minutes on a normal evening, less when the roads are quiet. That is a shorter drive than most people spend circling a parking garage on a busy night, and at the end of it there is a South Asian smash burger that you cannot get anywhere closer.
Reston does have Nash and Smashed for a smash-style burger, and it is a solid spot. The catch is that it closes early, so it does nothing for you when the craving hits at eleven or later.
